Discord cannot remove 2FA or issue you new backup codes. Keeping your recovery codes in a cloud storage vault means you can access them anywhere, as long as you have. If it does, you are only moving the problem back a step. Another good option is to store recovery codes in your cloud storage vault, as long as it doesn't also use Two-Factor Authentication. Note: If you do not have access to your backup codes, we are unable to remove 2FA and you will have to create a new account. Option 2: Store Recovery Codes in the Cloud. Now that 2FA has been disabled, you'll be able to enable it again with your new device! If you forgot how to do that, don't panic! We can help you set 2FA up again! Note: Be sure to enter your backup codes without any spaces or dashes! Spaces or dashes will cause you to see an invalid code error! Backup codes are located in the google settings. You'll be prompted for a 6-digit code, but one of your 8 digit backup codes will work! BEFORE you change your phone number, you will need to obtain backup codes to regain access to your account. Using Backup Codes for 2 factor Authentication 2.You can also use the logged-in device to disable two-factor authentication altogether. There are a few things you can try to get around this lockout! On Device 1, open the Notifications tab and tap Approve next to Login requests. The unthinkable has happened! You were logged out of the desktop app, and your phone broke at the same time, leaving you without access to your 2FA app to generate new codes.
